FaceLaunch: A new way to manage the people in your life.
In a world that’s more connected than ever, knowing someone's name isn't as useful as it once was. In this day and age it’s now common to know hundreds of people, some that even share the same name. FaceLaunch rethinks the way managing contacts should be, focusing on people’s faces instead of names. Why? Because everyone has a unique face.
A mature contacts manager knows that it’s main purpose is to act as an intermediary to help an individual get in contact with persons of interest as quickly as possible. FaceLaunch once again paves the way for new thinking in how this should be accomplished. Like ink in a Rolodex, FaceLaunch does not specify whether your adding a phone number, an email address or a mailing address. It is up to you as the user to assign each contact its rightful place.
A person is not a contact; they are a person and should not be confused for such. A person however can have many forms of contact.
Assign each new contact as either a phone number for calling with the iPhone’s native Phone app, a number for sending an SMS message, or perhaps even a number you would like to call via Skype. FaceLaunch also allows you to assign each contact as a mailing address, an email address, or someone’s FaceTime screen name. It is completely up to you if each contact is assigned to one or more of these options.
Face + Launch = FaceLaunch
FaceLaunch is more than a manager; it’s an application launcher. Selecting a person’s contact will launch the appropriate application if supported. The current apps available to launch are Phone, Messages, Mail, Maps, Skype and FaceTime.
