AppAdvice - "New 10 Band EQ Makes Your Songs Sound Better Than Ever"★ Album Artwork ★
The album artwork can be used to scroll through the current track selection. The playing of a track can be initiated by pressing the album artwork directly.
If a track is playing, and you browse to a different track, the arrow button (top right) will turn orange to indicate you are not focused on the current playing track - press the arrow button to return to the current playing track.
The album artwork wraps around to allow continous bi-directional scrolling through the tracks. However, the current track list has a defined beginning and end. Automatic playing of the tracks will always stop at the last track in the list.
One possible way to obtain album artwork is to log into your iTunes account, select Advanced -> Get Album Artwork. Once the artwork has downloaded, make sure 10 Band EQ is not running, then fully synchronize your device with iTunes.
★ iPod library integration ★
When 10 Band EQ initially loads, it will automatically display tracks from the iPod library. The number of tracks to display can be configured in the Settings screen. It is advisable to keep this number relatively low in order to preserve memory and to keep initial load speed fast.
Because 10 Band EQ now runs in the background, the number of tracks auto-populated is only applicable when the app is loaded fresh i.e. after it has been completely killed via double tap of the home button. The app will retain its selected track list unless it is completely killed, in which case tracks will be auto-populated from the iPod library the next time it is opened for use.
★ Playing in the background ★
10 Band EQ now has some support for playing audio in the background. If you are playing a track and press the Home button, the app will be moved to the background and continue to play - for the duration of that track only. Note however, that when the app is in the foreground and the screen is locked or the backlight is off, then the app will continue to play multiple tracks as normal.
Playing background audio while multitasking with other applications consumes additional resources such as memory. This can occasionally lead to sluggish performance, especially on the iPhone 3GS. Thus, if required, background audio can be turned off in the app settings screen (accessible by pressing the spanner icon).
★ DRM protected music ★
Depending on how the music files on your device were acquired, 10 Band EQ will not always play music files which have had DRM copy protection applied.
The app now has the ability to filter out any files which flag as being affected by the DRM issue. This feature can be enabled in the Settings screen. Note that when this feature is enabled, it will take slightly longer to load tracks into the app, as the app must check each one for DRM protection state.
